Making Believe 2010

From my space:

I've been very bad at blogging, but anyways, I'm working on a project for the degree show at the moment. The website just went live and is here: http://makingbelieve.co.uk/

For the new brief; Space of Production, we have to go to a space of production, and do some drawing/recording/documenting. My space is a letterpress studio, so I went to Hand&Eye in Shadwell and spent some time there. Here are a few photos. Drawings and thoughts to follow.

A few pictures from the book market stuff, forgot to put them up before.

Brilliant talk on the power of collaboration.

Slow Down

I did some work today towards my final thing for the project at the book market. It's going to involve using the transient nature of the space to plant the 'slow down for books' phrase. Initially I was just going to use people with the letters spelled out on their t-shirts forming up the words, but I think I might have a few different methods now.

Reflecting the amount of signs they have around could be interesting as well, I had a go at something home-made using packaging cardboard and black paint.
Which slightly ironically was from an Amazon package. I've also started on some posters and logos for this, but none of them are finished enough to be shown.
