Back posting: New Designers
For New Designers in July 2009, which is a show for all new graduates off design courses, we decided that instead of just sticking out project work up again and talking about it for four days, we wanted to show what our course was really about by producing work in the space, moving from an input wall, through various processes, to the output wall. We made up some benches, a methods and processes switchboard, a load of cardboard and paper plus various bits of stationary. In the space we completed some briefs, held design debates, had a 'design off' and generally annoyed/scared/disgusted/impressed everyone who passed by. Plus we got to have fun, design and generally introduce people to a different kind of design from the shiney chairs onf plinths they were seeing the rest of the exhibition.
